The Professional Fundraising Consultancy (PFC) has announced a one-day event in Manchester designed to give fundraisers a taste of their Certificate in Fundraising for Schools.

The event will be held on 8 June 2004 at Chancellors, the University of Manchester’s Conference Centre.

The Certificate in Fundraising for Schools is now in its third year. It is accredited both by the University of Central Lancashire and the Institute of Fundraising. PFC say that it is “the only comprehensive training and accreditation programme for those who are already, or intend to become, development/fundraising directors in schools.”

The consultancy have arranged the taster day for those who are interested in knowing more about the Certificate Course for themselves or a member of staff, or for anyone who would like to hear about current successful fundraising practice in secondary schools (both the state and private sectors) and what works best.

The event runs from 10.30am to 4.00pm including lunch in Chancellors Restaurant and costs £95 plus VAT.

The next six-day Certificate course will take place at the same venue during September, October and November 2004.
