Julie Bentley has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of sexual health charity, fpa (Family Planning Association). She will replace Anne Weyman OBE, who after 11 years will retire as the head of fpa at the end of December 2007.
Bentley joins from The Suzy Lamplugh Trust where she is Chief Executive Officer.
Commenting on the appointment Ian Plaistowe, Chairman of fpa, said: “Julie is an effective leader with an impressive track record of strategic planning and financial management. Her enthusiastic approach and strong communication skills will benefit the entire organisation and help lead fpa into the next phase of its development.”
She will take up her new position in January 2008.
