Royal Mail Group staff have voted for children’s charity Barnardo’s to benefit from a a three-year partnership deal with company.
Staff from all areas of the group will be encouraged to raise funds for the charity, and Royal Mail Group itself will provide ‘top-up’ funds to boost staff fundraising totals.
Kay Allen, Royal Mail Group Head of Social Action and Inclusion, said that the organisation was keen to partner with a UK-wide charity that their staff could feel was making a difference in their community. “I am confident that our people will rise to the new challenge, she added. “Already Barnardo’s is one of the favourite charities that employees donate to through payroll giving and we will be encouraging our people nationwide to volunteer and to organise local fundraising events.”
