Giving Northern Ireland is funded by Atlantic Philanthropies and Lloyds TSB Foundation. It has been established to encourage high net worth individuals to give more to charity. Localgiving.com is an appropriate partner: it was created by digital millionaire Marcelle Speller,  who was inspired to create it after attending a workshop at the Institute of Philanthropy.

One of the events of the fortnight will feature Ellen Remmer of the Philanthropy Initiative in the United States giving presentations on corporate philanthropy. A report on high net worth individuals will also be published.

Other events include an all-day showcase by the Give More group at a shopping centre, a youth philanthropy event in a local school and private events for trusts and professional advisors.

Giving Northern Ireland’s website is not yet active so registration and further information is available from tr********@gi*******************.org and bl******@co*******************.org.
