Legacy10 creates award for excellence in legacy fundraising

Legacy10, the charity that encourages legacy giving in the UK, is to recognise excellence and innovation in legacy fundraising with a new award. The Legacy10 Award for Excellence will recognise @those who have contributed to legacy giving in the UK through innovation and delivery”.
It is open to all legacy fundraisers who work for a registered UK charity and who have “implemented innovative solutions to improve the ability of their charity to develop a sustainable source of future income by increasing legacy giving”.
The winner of the Legacy10 Award for Excellence will receive £5,000, with a futher £5,000 being awarded to their charity.
Roland Rudd, founder and Chair of Legacy10, said: “We’re looking to find the people who are making a real difference and ensure they become ambassadors to share best practice in the sector. Legacy fundraising is a skill so often overlooked but absolutely vital in the efforts to ensure that our charities are sustainably funded in the long-term.”
Applications close at 5pm on 7 October 2013.
