The British Aero Collection Trust gets connected for fundraising with Advanced NFPs Donor Strategy CRM solution

Advanced NFP’s Donor Strategy system has been selected by The British Aero Collection Trust (BACT), the charity running the £14 million project to build the new Bristol Aerospace Centre. The Donor Strategy CRM and fundraising system, which went live in October 2013, will assimilate all donor and fundraising data, facilitating the organisation’s fundraising strategy.
The Bristol Aerospace Centre is a new heritage museum and learning centre being planned for Filton, North Bristol. It will tell the history of the region’s world-class aerospace industry and showcase Concorde which was designed and built in Bristol. The fundraising is well under way with financial support from corporate partners and the Heritage Lottery Fund. Substantial pledges have already been recieved from BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce and Airbus, with others in the pipeline.
BACT carried out a rigorous tender process in which Donor Strategy was short-listed alongside three other systems.
“We chose Donor Strategy initially for its centralised CRM capabilities, the foundation for building a great database to manage and develop all relationships for our fundraising requirements. We then recognised the system’s extensive functionality could meet all our future needs including online membership payments, online donations and integration with ticketing for events,” said Jill Taylor, Fundraising Director at BACT.
She added, “With ambitious fundraising targets, we needed the new system to be up and running quickly. Donor Strategy is easy to use and requires very little administrative support. The Advanced NFP team implemented the system and provided entry-level training promptly, enabling us to be confident users of the system straight away.
“We are getting positive feedback about Donor Strategy from small to medium charities looking to gain a connected view of its supporters. The system’s ability to make it easy for charities to profile and develop relationships with people and organisations is proving critical to maximise fundraising strategies,” said Simon Fowler, Managing Director of Advanced Business Solutions.
