East Cheshire Hospice boosts donations and numbers of donors with Raiser’s Edge

Ten years after it first started using Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge, East Cheshire Hospice reports that it has helped the charity increase its donor base by 152% and its donations by 70%.
Over the last year the Macclesfield-base charity has implemented Blackbaud NetCommunity™, making its website fully integrated with Raiser’s Edge. This has enabled them to build an online community for supporters.
The hospice’s previous database did record all income and donations, but it focused solely on accounts, so could not be used for relationship building or targeted fundraising approaches.
Mike Drew, ICT Manager, East Cheshire Hospice, said:

“We’ve attracted more donors, which has resulted in more gifts and more income. I’m confident that we wouldn’t have done this without Raiser’s Edge.”

He added:

“Blackbaud NetCommunity has been a real boost to the hospice too. We can now communicate much more effectively with our supporters, making communications targeted to each and every one of them. It’s great to be able to add that personal touch and has had a real impact on our fundraising.”
