Online giving site Localgiving has partnered with the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) to provide each organisation’s members with reciprocal access to their services, in order to improve the sustainability of smaller charities and community groups.
Localgiving members with an income of under £50,000 a year will receive free membership of NCVO, and those generating more each year will receive a 20% discount on membership.
Similarly, NCVO members that do not currently have Localgiving membership will be offered a 20% discount on the annual fee. As members they will gain access to Localgiving’s online fundraising platform and its match fund campaigns which match donations from individuals with funding from government, grantmakers and private funders.
NCVO already has over 11,000 voluntary organisation members.

Collaboration

The two organisations will work to produce practical guidance for their members, from how-to guides and video training, to face-to-face development sessions.
Stephen Mallinson, Chief Executive of Localgiving, said:

“The partnership with NCVO provides a new and exciting opportunity for our members. We strive to support local charities and community groups to become financially sustainable, by providing the tools and resources they need to build a stable funding base. The partnership we are announcing with NCVO gives our members unique access to a prestigious body offering some of the best training and resources available in the industry. Likewise, we welcome NCVO’s local charitable groups to join us so that we can help boost their online fundraising efforts.”
