London’s Air Ambulance opens competition to name its helicopters

Howard Lake | 18 August 2015 | News

London’s Air Ambulance is inviting children to suggest names for its helicopters in a competition. It is encouraging their parents to make a donation when they submit the entries.
The competition is part of the charity’s ‘Your London, your Helicopter’ campaign to acquire a second emergency medical helicopter.
The two winning names will be placed on each aircraft.
The competition is open to children under the age of 16 who live or go to school within the M25. Their parents or guardian should submit on their behalf a name for one of the helicopters and a reason for why it deserves this name.
The two lucky winners will also get to visit the London’s Air Ambulance helipad, on top of The Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, to see their chosen name on the aircraft.
The deadline for entries to name a helicopter is Friday 28th August 2015 at 5pm.
Neil Jeffers, Chief Pilot at London’s Air Ambulance said:

“This competition is a brilliant opportunity for two lucky people to get their chosen name flying with us too, and become a part of our life-saving operations. Please enter, but please also donate at yourhelicopter.london or text HELICOPTER to 70800 to donate £5 and help us get our second helicopter flying sooner. Thank you.”
