The Community Fund is to examine the Web sites of about 5,000 organisations it has funded to ensure that they do not contain any "expressions of sympathy for terrorism," reports ThirdSector magazine.

The UK's first not-for-profit bank opens to the public today.

Charity Bank, the UK's first not-for-profit bank, opens its doors to the public today with a launch at 11 Downing Street. Customers will be able to make deposits with the bank which will use the money to fund solely social enterprise projects.

CharityDays.net, the ISP that donates 60% of its revenue to UK charities, has just been voted the second best unmetered package in the UK by Paul Newman, editor of Practical Internet magazine.

Survey reveals business benefits of payroll giving

Encouraging employees to support charity through their payroll delivers real benefits to business, according to a new report commissioned by The Giving
Campaign.


The report, 'The Business of Giving', found that 96% of companies surveyed thought Payroll Giving was something employers should offer and want to see more of their staff taking part in such schemes.
