RSPCA reappoints Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO

The RSPCA has reappointed Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO to its account.

Digital agency Lateral has won the RSPCA's online account and planning and buying agency PHD has won the charity's media account. Both agencies pitched in partnership with Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO.

The UK's International Fundraising Consultancy (IFC) and the Ukraine's Centre for Philanthropy are building a fundraising programme across the former Soviet Union.

The West country practice of national law firm Bevan Ashford has appointed Deborah Chappell, solicitor, to strengthen its charity and 'not for profit' sector services.

Trust donation helps TheSite.org become more accessible

A donation from the Abbey National Charitable Trust has allowed young person's information site TheSite.org to extend its services to the visually impaired.

The new site enables those with sight difficulties to view the independent 'information for living' offered by TheSite.org.

Depaul Trust to air first interactive TV advert

A homelessness charity will be the first organisation to launch an interactive TV advert next month.

The two-minute advert will encourage the audience to decide how a fictional teenager Paul should react. Whichever option the audience chooses, Paul eventually ends up in the same position - homeless and begging.

Community Fund explains how it assesses grants

The Community Fund has opened up its procedures to all grant applicants.



The Community Fund has unravelled the mystery of what makes an application successful by publishing its new Grant Assessment Manuals on its Web site. The manuals show the full internal methods used by grants officers in assessing applications under the Community Fund's six grants programmes.

2002 red ribbon AIDS catalogue launched

The National AIDS Trust has launched its AWARE 2002 catalogue.

For the last seven years the catalogue has been the UK¹s primary source for World AIDS Day and Red Ribbon-branded materials as well as other products related to AIDS awareness.

New Media Age awards Web site of the Week accolade to the Battersea Dogs Home.

Battersea Dogs Home's Web site is Site of the Week in this week's New Media Age magazine. Reviewer Chris Dillabough thinks that "form mirros content perfectly on this simple, colourful, comprehensive site."
