NCDL's Sponsor a Dog list updated

List broker Occam Direct Marketing has announced that the National Canine Defence League (NCDL) has added 180,580 names to its Sponsor a Dog list.

The Sponsor a Dog list now comprises 246,580 names.

£50 million from Department of Health for palliative care

The Department of Health has announced an extra £50 million a year for specialist palliative care services for people with life-threatening and terminal illness. Britain's oldest hospice has welcomed the news.

A grant from The Robertson Trust now allows care organisations in Scotland with incomes below £500,000 to register with donated goods charity In Kind Direct for a subsidised rate of £25 plus VAT.
