America's Second Harvest gets 42% response for click-to-give campaign

America's Second Harvest expects to generate $20,000 from food manufacturer Quaker in its click-to-give campaign, according to Donordigital.

The latest newsletter of US online fundraising and marketing agency Donordigital reports that Quaker will donate $1 every time the lunch bag graphic is clicked on in an HTML e-mail sent by food bank non-profit America's Second Harvest.

Amnesty uses Webcast to launch its annual report

Amnesty International launched its annual report yesterday with a live Webcast.

The report was delivered using the services of streaming media company Groovy Gecko. Very few non-profits have used Webcasts and even fewer to deliver an annual report.

Tax breaks for alumni could build university endowments

A report on university endowment funds calls for tax breaks for graduates to help establish and increase endowment funds for UK universities.

The report "University Endowments" by the Sutton Trust points out that only five UK universities have endowments worth £100 million or more, compared to 207 universities in the USA.
