All UK university rag societies now have a central Web presence.

Having mentioned the UK (plus one South African) university rag societies last month, you can now find out about the fundraising activities of all UK university rag societies at RagNet.

Rag societies publish online

Rag societies publish grant-making guidelines online.

A selection of UK (plus one South African) university rag societies are publishing details of their grant-making onlne. Fundraisers can visit their lists of recipient charities and giving policies to see if their charity qualifies for a grant or donation.

NCVO Web site

NCVO's Web site serves the voluntary sector.

The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) champions the cause of the voluntary sector. It is a membership organisation with over 740 national voluntary organisations as members. NCVO believes that the voluntary sector enriches society and needs to be promoted and supported.

New US online magazine for fundraisers

The Fund$Raiser Cyberzine is a US online newsletter for fundraisers.

Fund$Raiser Cyberzine is an online magazine "dedicated to bringing the world the latest and most complete news and ideas in fundraising." The material is available on the Web and via e-mail.

Funding Digest, the fundraising information service, is publishing sample copies online.

Funding Digest is a fundraising information service, published by Profunding, exclusively dedicated to the needs of charities, voluntary organisations, the public sector and local authorities throughout the UK. Profunding also publish FundingInformation.

Online giving facilities offered by 53 German charities

Donors can now give securely online to 53 German charities.

The online giving service was launched on 29 October 1996 by the German Charities Institute.

Howard Lake, founder of UK Fundraising, has begun to publish his MSc dissertation online.

Bogus charity collectors warning

Charity Commission warns the public against bogus charity collctors.

The Charity Commission is warning the public to be wary of bogus charity collectors. In particular they are highlighting the number of rose sellers who visit pubs, clubs and restaurants claiming to be raising money for charity.

Red Cross launches HelpAd

The Red Cross aims to raise £2 billion in five years with its HelpAd initiative.



The Red Cross has launched HelpAd, a fundraising initiative in partnership with major corporate brands, which aims to raise £2 billion. A £300,000 national press campaign has just broken to promote the initiative.
