Ethical code for fundraisers

The Canadian Centre for Philanthropy has developed an Ethical Fundraising & Financial Accountability Code, in consultation with charity leaders throughout Canada. Its primary purpose is to assure donors of the integrity and accountability of charities that solicit and receive their financial support.

FUNDit - new fundraising and technology event

FUNDit, the Fundraising and Fundraising Technology Exhibition, is a new event for the fundraising community. It will be held at Kensington Town Hall on Thursday 6 May 1999.

The UK Fundraising Bookshop has just added a range of new titles on grants and funding. These include titles on raising funds from the National Lottery.

Adam Corson-Finnerty has published Fundraising and Friend-Raising on the Web. The 122-page paperback distils the practical experience Corson-Finnerty has developed applying the Internet as a fundraising tool for libraries and universities.

The latest Internet fundraising book

The latest guide to fundraising on the Internet has just been published by John Wiley & Sons. Michael Johnston of Hewitt & Johnston Associates has written The Fund Raiser's Guide to the Internet and you can order the 224-page paperback online now at the UK Fundraising Bookshop.

The Fundraising Bank has launched a directory of US fundraising companies to allow fundraisers to locate relevant products. Visitors to the Bank can subscribe to a free biweekly fundraising newsletter which, according to owner Bradley Blinn, is being sent to over 670 subscribers.
