If you've got an idea for a web tool that can change the world, why not submit it for inclusion at the upcoming Social Innovation Camp?
This event, run by The Young Foundation, brings web development experts together with social innovators and gives them 48 hours to solve a set of social problems using web 2.0 technology.
Ideas submitted so far include Barcode Wikipedia, a tool for sharing cycle routes in London and an idea for how the web could be used to improve the UK prison system.
Their Call for Ideas ends soon. Those selected for development at the Camp will be announced on 17 March 2008.
The Social Innovation Camp also has a Facebook group.

Partner Up does look good
Yes, I was reading about the Partner Up myself just yesterday on David Wilcox's blog 'Designing for Civil Society'. He mentioned Andy Gibson and the School of Everything and his Partner Up proposal in How any group can become a Freeschool.
Some really good ideas
Thanks for the link. Some interesting projects, hope to hear more of them. For the charity sector, I particularly like Partner Up and see some potential there.

Sorry - closing date was 7 March
Sorry - just checked and the closing date for submissions was 7 March. Still, you can still explore the ideas submitted so far - almost all of them could be beneficial to one or more charities, so your input on improving them could still be useful for the camp.
