I see that the Charity Commission has tweaked its website again. www.charity-commission.gov.uk. If you search the register, you will see that the information is laid out very differently. I need to get my head around the new layout and information, but I am particularly pleased with the extra information included under the section on trustees. When you click on a trustee’s name, you will see a note of other charities where she/he is a trustee. You can then check who else they know, via other charities.
Is it a shame that the website facilities are different to those provided by Guidestar UK (www.guidestar.org.uk), so that we have to check both sites, or is it good to see that they are each spending money on different improvements?

New ways of accessing the information
George Overton, prospect researcher at Motor Neurone Disease Association, has just shared some of the more useful new tools on the site.
He says that the search by registration date at the Advanced Search:
www.charity-commission.gov.uk/Showcharity/RegisterOfCharities/AdvancedSe...
is "an advance on their previous feature of searching for new charities registered in the past quarter/month/year".
"Search by charity contact postcode" is another useful new feature:
