In 2006, I was told that the Charity Commission proposed to improve its website (making it as good as the advanced search facility available via Guidestar UK?). In July 2007, the website relaunch actually saw a search function removed!

In the past it has often been quite tricky finding out who are the wealthy donors giving substantial support to charities, universities, etc.

I see that top London law firm Allen & Overy is reviewing the salaries of its associates. Apparently they are planning to link the pay of associates to the package previously reserved for partners.

I find it a little embarrassing sometimes, sitting in Researchers in Fundraising (RiF) conferences when someone from the Institute of Fundraising asks how many people are members.

"The Business" has just published an interesting article on concerns about the trustworthiness of British company directors.
