Code of Charity Retailing becomes mandatory

The Code of Charity Retailing becomes mandatory for members of the Association of Charity Shops. The Code seeks to maintain high standards, good practice and public support for charity retailing. During the time in which the Code was voluntary "it has received high levels of support from members, with over 95% of eligible members signing up", according to the Association.
