The idea is to help nearly 10 million over-50s who aren't yet online taste the delights of cyber-life, and give them an appetite for more.

Whatever age you are, and whether you represent an organisation or not, you can take part.

Whoever you are, big business, small business, sheltered housing scheme, community centre, library, school, pub, bingo hall, sports club - even if you're one person in your own home - you can hold a Silver Surfers' Day IT taster event that will change people's lives.
