The awards – held by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) – promote transparency in the third sector by encouraging charities to publish friendly and accessible online financial reports.

Nominees were judged by an expert panel chaired by Graham Ward CBE, the former President of the International Federation of Accountants and a senior partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Judges also included Chief Executive of the Charity Commission Andrew Hind and David Furst, the Deputy President of the ICAEW.

The awards reward excellence across the sector and recognise charities of all causes and sizes. The five categories include organisations with incomes below £100,000; between £100,000 and £500,000; between £500,000 and £2 million; above £2 million; and the top 100.
