TAX-EFFICIENT> Gift Aid

I have a Gift Aid management question aimed mainly at organisations where their fundraising is split across departments and/or offices/regions:

1. How do you ensure a standard ask/marketing message for gift aid for all fundraising sections? eg DM, internet, events, sponsorship forms etc. And how do you ensure gift aid IS always asked for by all sections?

2. Who is responsible in your organisation for the accuracy and 'elligibility' of the tax claim itself? The database team? Finance? e.g. ensuring donations being claimed are not legacies, anonymous, are not actually organisations, otherwise not elligible for gift aid etc. (I know this shouldn't happen but...)

3. Finally, does anyone have a person in their organisation who's only role (or main role) is managing all this?

Thanks,

Ivan Wainewright
