Midas have been approached indirectly to help with a new 'Good Charity =
Guide'. The promoter is a businessman keen on efficiency whose idea is =
that a potential donor can obtain some form of instant star rating when =
considering a gift according to categories that interest him or her, =
such as management cost, asset cover, etc. etc. Similar ideas surface =
from time-to-time but never quite make it. This one may because the =
person behind it is prepared to fund it and is seriously wealthy. He =
has donated to a previous appeal and we are about to re-approach him for =
a follow-up donation. He will ask how such a star rating could be =
operated fairly and consistently. I may need to provide this before =
asking for money!
Anyone with any ideas welcomed including how any similar scheme has =
worked in UK or abroad.
