Who's Watching Big Brother?

If it the tirade of Jade wasn’t enough for those tuning into Big Brother wasn’t enough, what do people think of Channel Four’s refusal to reveal the total number of votes cast or the amount raised on last Friday’s eviction night?

If these kind of “donation-for-votes” type partnerships ran along the same lines as many other corporate partnerships are obliged to, e.g. buy one of these and the charity (or more correctly a charity’s trading arm that then covenants its profit to the charity that owns it) gets a donation (again, more technically the trading arm gets a “commission” that’s vatable), the company would be obliged to state up front how much money, or what percentage of price, was going to which specific charity and then. if asked, make available to consumers a current or final total of contributions made. This is outlined in the CAP Code for Charity-Linked promotions:

That being so, perhaps there’s a need for a Funders Standards Board?

(On another point, has anyone else noticed that the FSB is now the new name for the former KGB???)
