Credit Card Donations

Submitted by Jonathan on 3 February, 2008 - 21:10.

We are a small charity and about once or twice a month somebody wants to donate via their credit card.

It would not be cost effective for us to have merchant facilities because of the monthly retainer etc. but I am wondering if anybody knows of an economical way that we could offer credit card facilities to our donors?

Thank you
Jonathan

CREDIT CARD DONATIONS

A quick google on Charity Giving will give you three options on page 1 - justgiving.com, charitygiving.co.uk and CAFOnline.org

I know a little about Charitygiving, and find them effective, and I've heard nothing bad about the other two.

CREDIT CARD DONATIONS

The way our charity has managed to get over this problem is to have a credit card package on our website. At the moment run by CAF. They take a small percentage of the total donated, they also claim gift aid for you. No big outlay or machine rental.
