Fundrasing with an Auction of Promises

One and all,

Having been involved with raising funds for our recent refurbishment at Thame Church I thought I would share with anyone planning to raise funds within a limited area what sort of thing we have found successful.

Fetes: the biggest winners here financially tend to be the god old raffle! especially where prizes are donated.
Auction of Promises: this can be a really fun occasion, though our most recent one we ran through the web service
Auction of Promises and actually rose twice times as much as the previous three year's local event s put together.

Bot sales: limited really to admissions, but running some entertainment and a bar is a must if it is to be worthwhile fir fundraising.
