UK Eco Charities

Hi this is my first post here, in fact my first post on any forum in relation to this concept.

I want to find UK (environmental) charities or projects that deserve some backing and some funds(Not that all of them dont) but I want to find around 25 to share in a potential 250k fund.

The automatic organisations you think of are people like FOE or Greenpeace and while I think they will be there I want to find out what people who obviously care, and are actively involved think.

I'd love to include charities like Cancer Research or things like the NSPCC that are close to my heart but this project is about eco issues and on this instance thats where the nominees must be involved. - ANY help would greatly appreciated.
