Professional collectors

Does anyone use professional collectors for house-to-house and street collections?
If so what % have you agreed with your collectors, how do you monitor them and do you pay expenses.

Professional Collectors

I wouldn't ever use professionals for this type of venture, though I am aware that some do. The statutory declarations that have to be made at the point of solicitation may put an end to that, though!
Have you checked out the Institute of Fundraising codes of practice? They won't give rates of pay (generally not recommended) but they're quite good on the admin side.
