Hello
I wondered if anyone could advise... I'm looking to transfer into a pure fundraising role (possibly trusts) after 13 years in research and project development/management within the voluntary sector. I also have people management experience and experience of managing budgets.
As a part of these roles I have raised around £250k from trusts, foundations and statutory sources over the course of my career. I have not ever held a 'pure' fundraising role however although I clearly have been doing something right to have achieved these fundraising successes.
I have been wondering at what kind of level I should be aiming for in trying to get into a fundraising job. Would my experience gained within more 'development' roles be enough to go in at say a Fundraising Manager level or would it be more realistic to go for Officer level?
Your advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks
