I am currently trying to set up a Charity in Spain using my newspaper the Spanish Sun.
The charity is to help Ex pats, who are in trouble, i.e A man's wife has just died leaving himwith three children. We have been raising funds to help him.
I would appreciate any help and advice from anyone.
Regards
Jan Cooney

Fundraising in Spain
Hi Jan;
There is a well known consultant in Madrid called Daryl Upsall, you can reach him at http://www.darylupsall.com/.
Please do let us know if you post a job for a fundraiser, I live in N.A. but I would gladly relocate back to my homeland!
Good Luck Jan.

Apologies in advance if you don't get much help from this forum, which focuses on UK charities' fundraising.
There's an excellent UK fundraiser called Chris Carnie who lives and works in Spain, running his company The Factary from there.
www.factary.com
But it's a prospect (fundraising) research company rather than a general fundraising consultancy so I'm not sure if he'd be able to help.
I imagine the first thing to do is consider if there is already an existing Spanish charity that does similar work that you could collaborate with. If not, then get in touch with whatever the regulatory body for charities in Spain is.
