Hi
I'm just putting together a quiz to raise money for our Why17? campaign during our awareness month in june and just wanted some advice please.
I have devised 17 questions, themed around the number 17, both general knowledge and a couple relating specifically to content within our campaign microsite and I was going to send it to our supporters and members.
We are asking that to enter they need to return their answer sheet with a donation (unspecified and entirely up to them how much).
All the correctly answered sheets will then be entered into a "hat" and one drawn randomly and they will win a prize.
I can't find any rules or regulations around this and just wanted to make sure that I wasn't getting into "hot water" that covers what we are wanting to do and have rung the Gambling Association and they could help. I have seen this done by a couple of other charities so assume it is ok, but guess just need some reassurance I guess!
Equally, I wasn't wanting to exclude people from this - no other member of staff, trustee, volunteer will have seen sight of the answers or has been party to creation of the questions so (excluding myself!!) the quiz was open to anyone to enter. It's just a bit of fun to raise some money for the campaign.
Thanks in advance of your thoughts and comments.
Carolyn
