Hi,
I'm planning a sponsored event to raise money for an orphanage that I volunteered at in Sri Lanka last year - it's not a registered charity.
I'm intending to keep it among my friends and family, and maybe friends of friends - but is it ok for me to collect money myself to then transfer to the orphanage bank account? I'm struggling to think of any other way I could do it - I can't send cash, and people I've mentioned it to have said they'd like to be able to donate via paypal. Do I need to set up a completely different bank account to collect this money?
Any advice will be much appreciated! Thank you.
