Welcome packs

We are a small charity and trying to boost the number of supporters who give to us on a monthly basis (currently only 8!). As part of this, we thought it would be a good idea to develop a welcome pack for any new regular donors, but having never done anything like this before we're not sure where to start. Would anyone be able to give me some advice on what sort of information to include? If anyone would be willing to send me their own charity's welcome pack as an example that would be hugely appreciated!
