I am new to the forum and to the charity business.
I am looking into registering a charity that supports and promotes African artists. By marketing their art in Europe.
I have discovered that a charity has to have an income of at least £5000 before it can be registered.
To this end, I am thinking of conducting a series of fund raising events to raise the required amount.
My question is, can engage in fund raising activities before a charity is registered? If not, what other means can I employ in raising the £5000?
