I do fund raising and websites for 2 small charities. I had an idea for fund raising and wondered if anyone else has tried it, or maybe there are potential problems that I haven't thought of that you could point out to me! I registered one charity with Googleads and added a few to the charity website along with a search facility, but I'm not sure whether I really like having ads on a charity site (what do you think? http://www.northwiltsholidayclub.org.uk/ )
My idea is, could our ads (ie googleads with our reference in them so that funds go to our account) be added to other websites? For example, by asking supporters who have their own website or blog to include our ads, or other sites made by me (if I ever get time!)
Has anyone else tried this? Can anyone see any problems with the idea?
I'd be interested in any other web-based fund raising ideas too!
