Hello,
Myself and a group of friends have set up 'London Spirit' with the aim of providing inspired events to raise money for charity
Our debut event 'spirit' kicks off on 30 May 2010 in London and all profits will be donated to our chosen charity - East End Shed. We really want to raise as much money as possible for them to help secure their position for at least one further year (approx £7,000 should do this).
We are all doing this free of charge and have managed to secure all our performers free of charge too - meaning all profits from tickets sales can be donated.
The event will be a 12 hour festival featuring live bands, djs, comedy and much more.
To boost the amount of money we raise we hope to run a raffle on the day with some great prizes - the problem is we are struggling to get companies to commit to donating anything.
Does anyone have any ideas who we could contact for prizes (we have 4 small prizes so far)? we will be canvassing local businesses too but realise they will be unlikely to offer us anything substantial.
any advice would be greatly received.
thanks
Elaine
