Does anyone remember anything about the fundraising ball that never happened a few years ago? I can't remember which of the big boys organised it, but the idea was that 'guests' paid their £75 per ticket (or whatever it was) in order to NOT attend the event, and NOT have to go to the effort of cleaning/ renting a tux, and NOT to have to pay travel to the venue. It was pure profit for the charity and I'm looking for more information. Searching Google, Third Sector and UK Fundraising websites aren't returning any matches. Thank you.
