My husband and I are organising a charity ball to raise money for a local community hospice.
We’re hoping to obtain sponsorship from local companies to cover costs of the ball so that all of the money raised from ticketsales can go direct to the charity rather than on the cost of the ball. We’ve sent out sponsorship packages to various local companies but so far, haven’t had much response. We’ve had quite a good response for raffle prizes, which is great.
We appreciate that it’s a difficult time for companies financially at the moment but the lack of response is quite worrying! Also, catering companies have been very reluctant to offer any kind of discount for the food.
Does anybody have any advice on the best approach to companies, or any major companies that would be likely to sponsor an event such as this?
