I am currently working towards my MSc. dissertation at Imperial College London. For this I'm looking at the practice and opinions of UK based Trusts and Foundations that support conservation projects. In particular I want to discover what information funding bodies are able to acquire when examining the effectiveness of the conservation projects that they fund, and to what extent this information fits the task.
Through this work I hope to draw up recommendations for conservation NGOs reflecting the information requirements of the funder community.
In order to achieve this I'm conducting short interviews with representatives from the NGO and funder communities. However at present I'm a little short of contacts on the foundation side. I have conducted a search through the GIN database and I have made a few different approaches without too much joy.
I was wondering then whether any body here on the UK fundraising board might be able to help in providing a few key names that might be useful, or perhaps a good way of searching for such people?
