We are about to launch an appeal through a crowd sourcing website. We are not an arts cause, so have decided to go for a site in the US. I have looked at a few sites in the UK and many projects do not seem to reach their target and therefore get nothing, and some of the successful projects set modest targets. The US projects seem to raise much higher sums, so I'm assuming the method is much more popular in the States. How have UK fundraisers found crowd sourced funding? Are there any great success stories, and what tips would you share?
