Gas company sets £250,000 charity target

Energy For Children Charity, the charity set up by Northern Ireland gas supplier Phoenix, has set itself a target of raising £250,000 for children’s projects.

The charity describes its aims as supporting and providing a better standard of life for children and young persons in Northern Ireland who are in need or disadvantaged, whether materially, physically, mentally or emotionally and to help enhance their life. So far Energy for Children has supported a wide range of children’s project across Northern Ireland.

Requests will be considered for grants up to £10,000 award and to make an application for funding to a ‘local children’s need’ you are required to nominate through a member of the natural gas industry or a Phoenix Natural Gas employee.

If eligible a meeting will be arranged and an application completed between the applicant and the Community Liaison Officer. An applicant may only apply once in a 12-month period.
