JustGiving, the world’s largest online charity fundraising platform, is bringing even greater speed to online fundraising with the newly-launched JustGiving iPhone application.
The JustGiving iPhone app enables fundraisers to: update their JustGiving fundraising pages with text and photos; easily share their pages with their new and current iPhone contacts; and receive instant notification of new donations – all straight from their phone.
JustGiving has launched its iPhone application in time for the crucial weeks of fundraising in the run-up to the Virgin London Marathon. The London Marathon is known as the single biggest annual fundraising event in the world.
Early adopter and marathoner John Hibbs, who is running the Marathon to raise funds for Lupus UK, gave the application a five-star review in Apple’s iPhone App Store. John Hibbs says: “The new iPhone app gives me great flexibility and keeps me updated with my fundraising, allowing me to keep my growing number of followers informed. JustGiving continues to be at the core of my charity and fundraising work for Lupus UK. It makes fundraising easy!”
Rachel Jones, Events Manager, Breakthough Breast Cancer, says: “JustGiving’s iPhone application will make it even easier for our London Marathon runners who are fundraising on JustGiving to spread their page further, while staying in touch better with their sponsors.
“It’s a great example of how JustGiving’s innovative approach and investment in technology helps us here at Breakthrough Breast Cancer raise even more money to support the great work of our committed staff and supporters.”
Heather Bird, Community Team, JustGiving says: “Here at JustGiving, we’re always working to find new ways make fundraising easier for our JustGiving community. So we’re really excited about the JustGiving iPhone application, and think our iPhone-carrying fundraisers will be too.
“We’ve worked hard to have it ready in time to benefit the nearly 20,000 JustGiving fundraisers running the London Marathon.
“We know that fundraising for the Marathon can be as hard as running it, and that’s why we’re so proud to say that our 2010 London Marathon fundraisers are outdoing themselves. Those who have started fundraising have raised an average of £677 raised per page. That’s a credit-crunch beating increase of 8% on this time last year!
“This new JustGiving iPhone app now gives our Marathon fundraisers that extra edge in their final weeks of fundraising. It will make smashing their targets even easier, and help make this a record-breaking marathon in raising money for important causes.”
The JustGiving iPhone app was built in partnership with the award-winning team at ApSmart and is free to download from Apple’s iPhone App Store.
