Sir Richard Evans, chairman of defence company BAE Systems, this week launched a fundraising partnership between the company and childrens' charity NCH.
NCH has been selected by BAE Systems' UK employees as the focus for its 2003/4 Charity Challenge campaign.
Charity Challenge is BAE Systems' company-wide charity fundraising programme that involves more than 100 sites across all countries of its operations. Last year's programme raised almost £6 million for charities worldwide and provided more than 3,500 days of volunteering by employees.
The international element of the Charity Challenge began on 22 September 2003 at sunrise in Sydney, Australia, and ran until sunset in San Diego, USA. More than sixty sites across the globe staged events including balloon launches and fun-fairs.
