The newly improved Trafalgar Square in central London will once again provide a backdrop to a free programme of carol singing where a range of groups will raise funds.

The concerts will begin on Saturday 6 December 2003 and run until Christmas eve. They will take place under the large Norwegian Christmas Tree.

Those taking part in the carol singing will represent and be raising funds for a range of voluntary and charitable organisations. Each carol singing session will last around an hour.

Groups confirmed as taking part include Amnesty International, Help the Aged, Central Middlesex Skills Development Centre, Darent Valley Choir, Sutton & Merton Polio Fellowship, and the Anglican Society for Welfare of Animals.

Other groups wishing to take part should contact the Squares Management team at the Greater London Authority.
