Wallace & Gromit's Children's Foundation to donate £200,000

in

Wallace & Gromit's Children's Foundation is to donate nearly £200,000 in grants to 23 UK Children's Hospices and Hospitals across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland from the money raised in last year's fundraising event, Wallace & Gromit's Wrong Trousers Day.

The grants will be used to help fund a variety of projects from new outdoor play and picnic areas, family accommodation, new state-of-the-art equipment such as incubator, scanner and cameras, garden landscaping, playroom and activity centres, arts projects, furniture and a specially commissioned mural.

Created in 2003 Wallace and Gromit's Children's Foundation raises funds to improve the quality of life for children in 23 hospitals and hospices throughout the UK.
The Wrong Trousers Day event started in the South West where money raised contributed to a £12 million fundraising appeal towards the cost of the new Bristol Children's Hospital.

Wrong Trousers Day this year is 2 July 2004.
