Creative direct marketing agency Whitewater is looking for a new Managing Director and is willing to pay £8,000 to the person who puts them in touch with the successful candidate.
The MD will take over from Steve Andrews who, having held this position for 8 years, will be taking on the new role of Director of Charity Services for Whitewater's parent company, The Direct Marketing Group. At the same time Steve will remain a client-facing Chairman of Whitewater.
The £8,000 fee is payable on completion of the candidate's
probationary review.

More than PR but not new
Yes, it worked well in that UK Fundraising covered it. But it's not just free PR for Whitewater. I know they've used the same finder's fee approach in the past and successfully.
Also, there's a whole recruitment website based on this model, called
www.zubka.com
It lists vacancies and the amount it will pay to the person who finds the successful candidate. It attempts to mix social networking and recruitment sites. It believes that we know a large number of people and, when we see a job ad, can often think of one of our friends who would do well in that position.
Sadly, last time I looked (earlier this week) there were no vacancies available in the UK charity sector section of the site. Nevertheless, the model interests me and I was pleased to see Whitewater trying it again.
Nice one
One way of getting your firm in front of most of the charities to let them know what you do, like it.
