British Heart Foundation and Heart Children Ireland have been chosen as the nominated charity partner of Home Retail Group, owner of home and general merchandise retailers Argos and Homebase.
Under the two-year campaign 'keeping hearts beating', the Group is aiming to raise £2 million when the partnership launches this summer.
Argos has already run successful charity of the year partnerships with Help the Hospices and currently with Leukaemia Research, and Homebase is currently partnering with Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Yes, Barretstown and Leukaemia Research
Argos is supporting Leukaemia Research in the UK and Barretstown in Ireland.
On 20 February 2007 Argos announced: "Leading multi-channel retailer Argos is pleased to announce it will be working with Leukaemia Research and Barretstown as the company's next charity partners. The partnership will begin in store [sic] in July when the company's successful relationship with Help the Hospices and the Irish Hospice Foundation draws to a close".

When does this partnership start? As far as I was aware Barretstown was the chosen charity in Ireland for Argos? http://www.barretstown.org/content.asp?contentid=1161
