IPC Media chooses Mental Health Foundation as charity of the year

IPC Media has chosen the Mental Health Foundation as its charity of the year for 2010. More than half of voting employees chose the winner from four shortlisted causes.

In 2009, IPC Media raised a record £40,000 for its charity of the year and will be organising a range of fundraising events throughout 2010 to support the Mental Health Foundation.

Simon Denny, who works at IPC Media and campaigned for the Mental Health Foundation to be charity of the year 2010, said: "One in four people experience a mental health problem each year and as well as raising awareness of that among IPC staff, I’ll be campaigning for many of our magazines and websites to cover the issues."
