Sarah Dodds Fund offers £10,000 to best early stage social ventures

The Sarah Dodds Fund is offering £10,000 to the best social ventures at proof of concept stage. The Fund will offer the money as interest free loan finance.

The competition will be run at OxfordJam, a three-day fringe event that runs in parallel to the Skoll World Forum on Social Entrepreneurship in Oxford. The event aims to create "a space for the nurturing of social economy and social finance projects the world over". It runs from 10 to 12 April 2013.

All shortlisted applications will receive the benefit of exposure to funders and experts in the field through the Sarah Dodds Fund networks.

Sarah Dodds was a social innovator who was passionate about capacity building for early-stage, high potential social enterprises and social businesses. She was Director of Ventures for UnLtd, the UK's foundation for social entrepreneurs. She died in a cycling accident in 2008.
