New site offers UK charities percentage of giftware sales

Fundraising consultants are developing impressive Web sites to sell their expertise. In so doing they offer varying amounts of freely-accessible advice based on their experience. Two examples from the US are Terry Axelrod and Tony Poderis.

Secure giving by CharityCard

As UK Fundraising reported last month, a major development in UK online fundraising was about to be unveiled. On 5th May, the CharityCard site was launched. Seventy thousand donors now have another way to give via CharityCard - over the Internet. Donations through CharityCard, the only debit card exclusively for charitable giving, can now be made through a single, secure Web site.

Non-profit consultants online

The American Philanthropy Review has launched the world's first on-line international registry of consultants who serve the nonprofit sector. Consultants Registry OnlineTM is a central registry of individuals and firms offering consulting services, including fundraising, management, law, accounting, real estate, computers, marketing, advertising, executive search, and Web site design.

UK consultants online

UK fundraising consultants are promoting their services on the Web. Three recent arrivals are the Management Centre, Burnett Associates, and MIDAS.

Action Planning moves online

Fundraising consultancy Action Planning have announced the launch of their Web site.

At the same time they have announced in their newsletter Action Link that they will design a free Web site for any new client signing a contract over £2000 with them before the end of December.

CharityNet is popular site

CharityNet is receiving "13,000 hits per day", according to Charities Aid Foundation.

The most popular areas on the site are Resources and CAF's press releases in the Information Store. Of course "hits" can be misleading as a measurement tool since it covers all files on the Web site, including graphics and Web pages.
